Spinal Tap

Spinal Tap

Label: Release Date: 14/11/2000

greed by Graham Reed November 14th, 2000

With the re-release f the film to cinemas and DVD/VHS, now is the perfect time for the Spinal Tap companion. Wrapped in a none more black cover, this is the complete history of the band, A nit-picked, intensely and insanely detailed companion, awash with the full transcript of the film. Treading a fine line between the make-believe history of the back-story of this made up band explained in fastidious and detail bordering on the anal, and the real history of the players and characters in the film, and managing to straddle both camps perfectly.

With reproduced album covers for the classics “Brainhammer” and “shark sandwich” (two word review: Shit sandwich) and a plethora of detail on the out-takes, this is the closet thing to the definitive history of the worlds best heavy metal band that never was. It couldn't get more detailed or completist if it tried. Somewhere between the best in-joke in the world and the worst heavy metal abnds ever, there lies Spinal Tap.If you’ve ever liked Spinal tap, this is the book for you
