Dynamo No But 'Tool' All Go
rubbafish by Colin Weston May 2nd, 2001
Lichtenvoorde, the area that acts as venue to the Dynamo Festival, withdrew the permit for the gig out of fear of spreading Foot & Mouth disease.

Mojo and Anti Concerts, the festival organisers, do not see any possibility to let the festival take place. The festival, due to be held on May 24th, 25th and 26th, had sold 15'000 tickets.

However, one of the bands due to play, Tool, have made various plans despite the cancellation.

During their European tour, there are several visits to the UK. The dates iclude :-

  • June 7 Dublin, Ireland SFX
  • June 8 Glasgow, Scotland Barrowland
  • June 9 Manchester, England Apollo
  • June 11 London, England Brixton Academy
  • June 12 London, England Brixton Academy

Also, they are one of the bands playing thee UK leg of the Ozzfest (see article elsewhere on the site), and playing several other festivals around Europe including Rock AM Ring, Pink Pop, Roskilde and the Edgefest.

In support of their new album, Lateraus (May 15th US release date), they are doing a mini tour of the States, starting in Atlanta on May 15th and ending in New York on May 20th.

They are also reportedly planning to play seven dates in August with veteran rockers and cult band, King Crimson. Exact dates/venues have not yet been announced.
