Remy Zero: "Put to Rest"
sean by Sean Adams December 31st, 2003
Another one bites the dust...

You may remember Alabama's Remy Zero from such things as Smallville and being friends with Travis, you may even own their three beautiful indie albums: 'Remy Zero', 'Villa Elaine' and 'The Golden Hum'. But their official website states that the band have now split up.

Their site carries the following statement

"The five of us thank all of you who have listened & had faith in us. These years as Remy Zero have given birth to music and friendships that will hopefully live on past this moment.
We will take the inspiration, lessons, and spirits we have encountered as each of us moves forward into new territories. Remy Zero has been put to rest.
Thank you again peace,
Cedric, Cinjun, Jeffrey, Gregory, Shelby"

However the site does carry details regarding their individual projects where it seems solo albums and record labels are on the cards, Cinjun excavationrecords.com, Jeffrey karmichit.com/isidore.htm, Gregory horsethiefrecords.com, Shelby apoxyfeather.com, but it's still not known what bassist Cedric will be upto next. Also, from what we can gather, Cinjun and Shelby will release an album together early in 2004.

We'll have more details about what the band are upto as things happen...

DiScuss: What are your favourite memories of the band? Do you believe they were really under-rated? What's your favourite RZ song?
