Kinesis: Debut Al-bomb On The Way...
sean by Sean Adams August 18th, 2003
Bolton punk.03'ers announce release details...

It only seems like a short while since Kinesis were a fresh-faced unsigned band, running their own fanzine and releasing records themselves. A band - with a positive mentality, a fistful of riffs and a great attitude - which we were very excited about. And we still are.

In a communique from Conor Kinesis, he revealed the debut album title is 'Handshakes For Bullets' and it's scheduled for release on September 29th. The next single will be 'One Way Mirror' on September 15th.

He also let slip, "We'll be touring from September 28th til about October 7th... You didn't hear this from me though!" DiS have heard the mighty Manc-rockers Oceansize and Fi Lo Radio are likely to be supporting.

The full track-listing for 'Handshakes For Bullets' is:

  • One Way Mirror
  • Billboard Beauty
  • Handshakes For Bullets
  • Bloodstained Lips
  • This Dead End
  • Conveyor Belt Destruction
  • ...And They Obey
  • (Cling To Your) Innocence
  • Forever Reeling
  • Average American Corpse
  • Everything Destroys Itself
  • Generation Devoid Of Inspiration
Kinesis also play a Carling Weekend warm-up at The Vine, in Leeds on August 21st. Check out transmissionleeds.com for more info. Anyone going to Reading/Leeds be sure to catch Kinesis in the Radio 1 tent. Also check out Colour of Fire first on in the new bands tent (Friday Reading, Sunday Leeds), as we reckon Kinesis fans will love 'em.
