After being accused by Telstar chairman Sean O'Brien last week of failing to support UK talent, Radio One has retorted that at least 35%, and usually more, of its playlist is made up of UK music.
A BBC spokesman said "We have a commitment to support the best new music ... irrespective of where it comes from. If it comes from the UK, great.
