sean by Sean Adams June 12th, 2003
Heart yanking mancs announce some more live dates and the first proper single to be lifted from the new record...

Continuing to plot their return Elbow have let slip details of their first gig since V2002 (they've been recording a second album called 'Cast of Thousands' dontcha know..). The gig will be in London, at The Scala on Thursday 10th July. Tickets cost £12, but are only available from the band’s interactive screensaver downloadable from elbow.co.uk.

And so all your scots cannae moan-whinge-moan about being excluded from everything, Elbow have also announced a "special show" in Edinburgh. It's part of the T in the Fringe event at The Liquid Rooms on Sunday August 17th. Tickets are £10 (no hassle with downloading a screensaver required).

Apart from those two shows, they're playing the following festivals:

AUGUST
Fri 15th The EDEN Project, St. Austell, Cornwall (with PJ Harvey)
Fri 22nd Radio One Stage @ Reading Festival
Sat 23rd Radio One Stage @ Leeds Festival

You can hear their online single 'Ribcage', on their website. The first single, 'Fallen Angel', is released on August 4th. The LP, 'Cast of Thousands', is released on August 18th.
