SFA warm up their Phantom Power for Glastonbury

The Super Furry Animals are to play a warm up show before their Glastonbury appearance on Friday 27th June at Cardiff's MS1.

The gig is set to follow the band’s first big headlining show of the year in Bethesda, Gwynedd (North Wales) on June 21st. The concert, still subject to license, will occur in a 6500 capacity tent, as part of a year long festival in Bethesda to commemorate the centenary of the end of the Great Bethesda Quarry Strike 1900-03, Britain's longest ever strike. The all-day event will have it's full line-up announced shortly.

In record release news, Super Furry Animals are releasing both a new single and album in summer 2003. The the band’s sixth album, ‘Phantom Power’ is set to be the second SFA album released simultaneously on audio CD and DVD on July 21st. This is preceded by single ‘Golden Retriever’, originally aired at last year’s MTV 5 Night Stand.

The track listing of ‘Phantom Power’ out on Epic Records in 5.1 stereo surround sound, is as follows:
