Cat Power: More Dates
sean by Sean Adams June 2nd, 2003
Every (fey-)indie-boys sex-kitten pin-up, Chan Marshall, hath announced more UK dates..

So much for this tour being a London only love-affair. The butterscotch-tones and slinky-folk-pop of that Cat Power lady is gonna be pouring all around the country in a coupla weeks. You best bake some cakes with cartoons on top, collect up piles of sweets and find a suitable piece of your heart to take along as your offering to the following dates...

June
Tues 17th Aberdeen Lemon Tree
Wed 18th Glasgow Mono
Thurs 19th Leicester The Phoenix
Fri 20th London Union Chapel
Tues 24th Belfast The Empire Music Hall

In an ideal world we can confirm that we shall be interviewing Miss.Powers when she hits the UK, but we've yet to confirm anything. If you've got any questions, mail them this way all the same: catpower@drownedinsound.com.

Oh and we can confirm she will have a full-band. Tho' she prolly won't have Grohl drumming as per bits of the album. But who knows. He gets around.

DiScuss: What's your favourite Cat Power record? Have you ever cried at one of her gigs? Are you her cardigan-wearing stalker who regularly recites her lyrics over a weak lemon drink? Do you ever wonder why the world hasn't caught up? Will her Jools Holland appearance incite violence at these gigs as whords of people talk really loudly at the bar about their orful-lives?
