Kashmir Klub: Down The Kazi!
rubbafish by Colin Weston May 4th, 2003
Yet another live music venue is down and this time it's in London.

The Kashmir Klub (on Nottigham Street near Baker Street tube) is to close on May 17th with the following reason being taken from the venue's website :-

"With great regret, we have to inform you that this (17/05/03) will be the last night of the Kashmir Klub. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the landlord of this current property will be repossessing it and we have to leave. We would like to thank everyone for all their support and love over the years. We are indebted to the thousands of singers, songwriters and musicians who have given their time, talent and energy for free."

Acts to have played the venue include Roddy Frame, Marcella Detroit, Nick Haywerd and Tom Hingley to name but a few. Another sad loss to the London music scene.
