New Pornographers: Version 2.0
rubbafish by Colin Weston April 2nd, 2003
The divine Canadian indie band The New Pornographers are back with their second album.

The group from Vancouver (which includes ex-members of Zumpano and Destroyer) are set to release the new album, titled 'Electric Version', on May 12th in Europe through Matador Records with a US release a week earlier. The band's debut, 'Mass Romantic', received many plaudits and you can even hear one of their tracks in Kevin Smith's last movie 'Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back' (the song is 'Letter From An Occupant' if you were wondering.)

The tracklisting for the new album is as follows :-

1. The Electric Version
2. From Blown Speakers
3. The Laws Have Changed (Full MP3 available at Matador Records)
4. The End of Medicine
5. Loose Translation
6. Chump Change
7. All for Swinging You Around
8. The New Face of Zero and One
9. Testament to Youth in Verse
10. It's Only Divine Right
11. Ballad of a Comeback Kid
12. July Jones
13. Miss Teen Wordpower
