Truck 2006: The DiS skinny
crablin by Colin Roberts February 1st, 2006

The countdown to Summer's best festival begins here!

This year's Truck Festival promises to be better than ever before, with promises of 'better security, more toilets, nicer toilets, bigger range of sustenance for the hungry and thirsty, more lights, bigger sound systems, better sound systems', which will all be nice.

At Truck this year, DiS will be the official media partner. We'll be providing exclusive content and a load of interesting bits to read when you're not transfixed on bands in the form of the official Truck programme. We're also pleased to announce the involvement of Drowned in Sound Radio; DiS Radio will be taking exclusive live recordings and interviews, mingling with the campsite and generally capturing the spirit of the festival for a special feature-length radio show.

This year's festival takes place on 22nd/23rd July and whilst we're not allowed to say anything about line-ups yet, it's going to be rather ace. The initial run of tickets are available from the following Oxon shops as of today (1st February) at the cash-only price of £40: Baby John's (Didcot), Dawsons (Abingdon), Music Box (Walloingford), Peter James Heating Supplies (Wantage), Polar Bear (Oxford), Rapture (Witney), Record Savings (Banbury), The Zodiac (Oxford).

It's also looking 100% go for Sunday night camping (score!) and you'll be pleased to know the rest of the tickets will be available from 1st March.
