Labrat To Play Israel
bchandler by Ben Chandler January 31st, 2003
Grindcore metallers Labrat have announced that they are to play two dates in Israel at the beginning of this February, in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, making them the first band from Britain to make the trip to the troubled country in over four years

The political struggle and instability of the Israeli Government, continuing Intafada violence and the 'War On Terrorism', have all been deterrents for music events to be held. With Adam, the band's Jewish bassist's family living there, there are family connections, but the band are also going to prove the seriousness of the band's commitment to playing live.

Whether this will open up the door for other UK and international bands to start playing in Israel again, remains to be seen.
