Aphex Club Rozzer Raid!
rkershaw by rkershaw September 21st, 2002
Last night a normal dose of Aphex acid was flying around, albeit rather loudly, at the Rephlex "Eat Your Own Ears" night in a warehouse on Brick Lane, London...

But then, as one dis-oik reports...

"I dont know any details (we suspect he was drunk - ed) but Aphex Twin was supposed to be on, all i know is that we turned up and at about 11:30 two uniformed police and a load of plain clothes CID stopped the club. I don't know if it was because the place didn't have a license or what. We got chucked out having just paid a tenner to get in!"

DiS spoke to Tom Baker from EYOE: "there were complaints from various official people in the area who called the police, who enforced it to be shut down an hour too early. I am sorry this happened and very disappointed as it was a rocking night and just about to get going when they burst on to the scene".

It's understood that Eat Your Own Ears are planning a free party later in the year.
