Miss Black America: Debut Album Tour
sean by Sean Adams September 10th, 2002
DiS loves Miss Black America. You either rate or hate Miss Black America. Their albums out on Monday and they start another mammouth tour tomorrow, so do your bit and pop along...

This time last year we were gearing up for a Drowned in Sound ROCKtober tour with some punkrag upstarts called Miss Black America. Now, they're all growned up and fully-fledged rock bitches (in the nicest, most cynically sweet possible way!) and they have a debut album titled 'God Bless Miss Black America' out on Monday (Sep 16th 2002) featuring all the best bits from their live sets, all the past singles and a few new tracks. It's all going to be new to most people.

If you aint heard them yet, they're angry (but not loud, loud) young men, brought up in a time of Margret Thatcher, with punk properly dead by the time they started buying melody driven, soul-filled, rock records. Riding on the crest of a new wave of critically concious, fresh rock; they're well on the way of infiltrating their world of books, movies and cult tv upon the rest of us. They sound special. That's everything you needed to know, ever. We're nuts about them for a reason y'know.
