PSI: New Single To Come
rubbafish by Colin Weston May 24th, 2002
Nottingham & the UK's primary electro-metal act, Pitchshifter, have a new single on the way.

Released on Sanctuary Records, the track 'Shutdown' will be available on two formats on June 17th. The tracks listings are as follows :-

CD 1:

1 – Shutdown
2 – Leave Us Alone (previously unreleased demo)
3 – MyKind ‘J.S. demix’
4 – Shutdown promotional video (enhanced feature)

CD 2:

1 – Shutdown
2 – Scorched (previously unreleased demo)
3 – Shutdown ‘Heat Treatment Mix’
4 – Shutdown promotional video (enhanced feature)

Band front man J.S Clayden had the following to say :-

"We really need all our fans to group together and buy the singles in the first week in the UK, it's the only way to show that alternative music is just as viable as the mainstream stuff, and maybe get some of that crap out of the charts for once! We urge you guys to do it! Every one of you can make a difference."

" There were a few mixes of demo tunes that never made it to the record that we wanted people to hear. It was a tough choice on this record choosing which ones weren't going to make it. We thought they deserved to be heard so we've put them on the singles. It's not often that bands release demo material so we thought we'd make the singles something special."

In addition to this it is possible to also download the MP3 of the title track from the bands official website which you can get to by clicking here.
