Whilst the band are yet to make an official announcement, internet speculation suggests the band will employ ex-Snot guitarist Mike Smith. It was widely reported at the time of Borland's departure that the band were finding it hard to come up with material for their follow-up to the million-selling 'Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water', further fuelling speculation regarding the purpose of a lengthy contract each hopeful guitarist had to sign prior to auditioning which stated that they had to play one minute of original material that would be recorded and legally 'owned' by Limp Bizkit.
If the rumours surrounding Mike Smith are true this would further contradict Fred Durst's yearning for a female guitarist.
