Probe. The Spitz. TONIGHT! RAARGHWK!
sean by Sean Adams February 4th, 2002
Oh! No! SELF PROMOTION! SELL! SELL! BUY! SELL!

Yes, we're putting on a gig tonight. Yes the bands all rock! Yes you will be there if you're in London and have any kind of heartfelt desire to discover new music or bathe in the beautiful (it's all in thine ears of the beholder!) art propelled from the geetars, mouths and orifices of tonights line-up.

Calan, the editor of probemusic (the newspaper version of drownedinsound, currently only available as a pdf or on the streets of London and as of next weekend Manchester too!) has put together a line-up for your debauch devouring. On the bill are: Penthouse who're loved by Sir.Peel for their craziness and mental punkess that sounds like Captain Beefheart one minute, The Stooges the next and something completely bluesy and weird sometime before or after that. I'm Being Good (LIARS!!) who're even louder than the headliners with a sexy sludge foaming from their rabid gums. Oil red 0 are much, much, quieter, doing all that post-math-geography-science-rock stuff and now with added movie samplings. The Koreans open tonights affair with the devil, playing their sleazy yet sweet-60's'ish generous slice of Ben Folds Five'ish, Chillis'ish, amazing'ish, surfrock.

This all takes place at The Spitz in Londons 'trendy' East End, near Spitalfields Market, about 5minutes walk from Liverpool St tube TONIGHT!!! That's Monday February 4th. Tickets are about a fiver (depending if you're a master blagger and possess a flyer) and doors open just before 8pm. People will be kicked out onto the street corners at midnight, "preferably wearing clothes of another member of the audience" so Kojé from Probe said...
