Waving bye to Razorlight: 'a heavier classic rock vibe'
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly September 12th, 2007

The first Razorlight record - not too bad, right? Apart from the hideously unbelievable wailing, bean tin production and 'To The Sea', of course. Which I suppose doesn't leave much. Still - at least they seemed within heckling distance.

No no, not no more. Borrell and co. have announced an intention to develop further into a stad-rock parody; a new "heavier classic rock vibe" betrayed today in a statement by drummer Andy Burrows.

Speaking to the Daily Star Burrows said: “There’ll be some heavy stuff. A heavier classic rock vibe. We’ve been touring so much that we’re ready to get into the studio and just blow the speakers apart.

“We have got a lot of material. Johnny hasn’t stopped but we’re still in the writing stage. There’s so much stuff kicking about so it’s very exciting.”

Exciting? Your band's aged approximately three decades in three years, Burrows.

You knew it all along, I suppose?
