Foals sign to Transgressive Records
crablin by Colin Roberts November 9th, 2006

One of our favourite new bands is ready to take on the world.

Oxford's Foals have signed a deal with Transgressive Records, home to Jeremy Warmsley, The Young Knives and more.

The rhymthically-led five-piece effortlessly mix Don Caballero guitar meddling and Kompakt Records-esque intricate drum styles, making them as listenable as they are danceable.

We're excited about this, as is Tim Dellow, co-founder of Transgressive Records:
"We're completely thrilled. Foals are the most important and different-sounding band I've heard in so, so long. They're essentially making a completely new style of music."
And if I'd just signed a record deal, I'd want my bosses saying that, too...!

You can hear more of Foals at their MySpace and catch them live at the following dates:

November
10 London Shoreditch Bar Music Hall
17 Manchester Warehouse Project Transgressive Roadshow
18 Sheffield The Plug Transgressive Roadshow
19 Leeds University Transgessive Roadshow
21 London Madame JoJo's White Heat
22 Oxford The Cellar
24 London Scala (w/ New Young Pony Club + Ox. Eagle. Lion. Man)
25 London SEOne Insomniac's Ball
27 London Hoxton Bar & Grill

December
17 Edinburgh Cabaret Voltaire White Heat Scotland
19 London Madame JoJo's White Heat
