Fighting Gravity The DiS Fest
sean by Sean Adams May 17th, 2001
We're not content with just being a [fill in the gap] website. Nor putting out the odd record here and there. No, no. We've been crazy enough to book a festival...

Fighting Gravity will take place @ the Kiva in Weymouth. It all kicks off on Friday June 29th with a night of an alternative nature with live dark-breakbeat from Urban Militia, emo-punk from Kids Near Water, brit-nu-metal from Bristols [element] with the special guest headliners to be announced v.v.soon.

Saturday June 30th will be the punk'n'ska day with a headlining set from skankin kings of the UK [SPUNGE] with support from Pusha with more acts to be confirmed.

Sunday July 1st will be the day of warfare. With a battle of the bands (anyone interested in playing, please e-mail sean@drownedinsound.com(or just send a demo to our usual address) there is no preference to genre just as long as you can make it to Weymouth. The prize will be a feature in Drownedinsound and a session on our Webradio which begins in June. Aside from that, we're having a breakdance, turntabalist and a computer games fight to the death as well.

Tickets will go on sale 3 weeks prior to event and will be strictly limited to 300tickets.

Note: Skinny dipping at any time over the weekend is optional and stealing of clothes is permitted *evil grin*.
