Famed film composer Jerry Goldsmith has died after a lengthy struggle with cancer. He was 75.
If you're asking "who?", shame on you. Goldsmith provided stirring soundtracks to a number of films and television shows including Total Recall ("I never knew you were so kinky..."), Planet of the Apes ("Shit, I never saw that ending coming... it's not like it's all over the damn poster or anything...") and one of my personal favourites, Alien ("Dallas, it's behind you Dallas... Dallas?"). He also wrote the Oscar-winning score to shit-your-pants-scary flick The Omen. So there.
