We've got togther with those punk rock independent label saviours Smalltown America to kick out some more live action. There's some noise to be had to start July proper noisy.

To mark the release of volume 4 in the series of Public Service Broadcast compilation albums, Jetplane Landing's Smalltown America Records will be hijacking Drowned In Sound's monthly Brave New Ideas showcase of the UK's most exciting new bands for a special launch night with live performances from four of the acts included on the new record.

Fighting With Wire
Hotly tipped BBC Northern Ireland favourites featuring Jetplane Landing guitarist Cahir O'Doherty; jagged riff-laden punk redolent of Helmet's grit and momentum while hinting at the pop sensibilities of Sugar.

La Momo
Gordon Raphael produced and Everett True approved goodness from this 2 boy/2 girl fusion of Detroit garage, krautrock and guitar-based electro.

Santo El Diablo
Occupying a previously undiscovered land between the Beta Band and Seafood, Santo ED provide feedback driven, dark & tribal sounding power pop by parts dreamily beautiful and subtly unsettling. Not for those with a weak musical taste.

We Will Be Pilots
Idly compared by some to 'Captain'-era Idlewild chomping on a bunch of My Bloody Valentine records, WWBP are young, noisy, scraggy chancers swimming in the sea of indie toilet circuit queens and vagabonds.

And the tracklisting for the new compilation is:

1. oxford collapse - for buds, not boston
2. la mômo - lobôtopop
3. the mono effect - our way home
4. dealership - pure of heart
5. daughters courageous - the saddest ever
6. fighting with wire - first time we met
7. school for the dead - uncomfortable
8. penniless - story of a punk
9. seedling - dutch disease
10. santo el diablo - santos are el diablo
11. we will be pilots - we are not the doctors
12. dorlene love - dl rumble
13. now - abominatrx
14. the new shapes - just paranoid
15. hooker - you & i
16. the hindi guns - goin' to portland
17. venetian love triangle - march of the confederate
18. the half rabbits - spooked
19. hyper kinako - bika lika
20. soma - cancel your future
21. the furious sleep - among the wolves
