Get D-FRAG our FREE LONDON Gig Guide E-Zine
sean by Sean Adams June 9th, 2003
Ain't it hard to find out what's going on in our nation's capital?

With summer holidays nearly upon us loads more people will be coming into London. More bands will be playing. More crazy events will taking place. But where on earth do you start looking to find out what's going on, and a bit about it?

Most of the gig "guides" you'll find on the web or in print for that matter, tell you stuff about things you probably already know about and basically work as shopfronts for Mean Fiddler, Clear Channel, SJM, etc, whilst leaving everything else as a list of names, lost in some lucky-dip matrix. That's just not on.

So about 8 months ago DiS Editor Sean set-up Defragmention (D-Frag for shot), as an attempt "to put into an optimal order" the hundreds of gigs that go on in the capital each week, with quick fire summaries based on hearing/seeing the bands previously. Thus, stopping people wasting their time going to see rubbish. Plus it gives him a chance to rant at the world, raining propaganda directly into people's inboxes.

It's totally FREE. It comes out every Monday. So, what're you waiting for?

Send your gig listings to gigs@drownedinsound.com.

Discover. Enjoy. Tell your friends.

p.s. If you want something a such more comprehensive and rNr-biased, check out the original London gig e-zine ArtRocker but you do have to know your Ten Bensons from your Black Madonnas to get real use out of it!
p.p.s. Can you recommend any other good guides, especially non-London-centric ones?
