The DiS Revolution Hits Anglia!
The DiS Revolution Hits Anglia!
rubbafish by Colin Weston February 13th, 2003
The Drownedinsound version of Care In The Community is to spread even further, this time infecting North Essex with a regular night at the Colchester Soundhouse!

The newly renevated venue formerly known as The Twist and top bloke Sean Hudson have agreed to let us take over once a month to give you the best bands and music that we can possibly muster (even though Colin is in charge of getting the bands!) In addition, not only will there be Drownedinsound nights but there will also be split nights with other sites and possibly labels with the Bacon Eating Veggie label launch night already in the pipeline as well as a split night in the making...

The first night is 20th March and is a split night with our friends at Do Something Pretty, covering the best in alternative indie and has one of our former writers in their ranks, one Mr James Moore (who is co-booking this gig with Colin). Bands are as yet to be confirmed but no matter who it is, tickets will be at £4 for a 3-4 band line up (2 by each site) and prices shall remain at around that price (or probably cheaper) from then on. Hurrah!

More details as we get them but go out and support your local scene and who knows, you may even like some of the bands there!

As always, any bands who would be interested in playing or sites/labels who would like to join up for a night, then please contact colin@drownedinsound.com and a reply will be sent accordingly. Do NOT send large files as they will not only be ignored, but deleted without even being read (harsh but fair I feel)
