What Are We Doing Right/Wrong?
What Are We Doing Right/Wrong?
sean by Sean Adams February 3rd, 2003
HELLO OUT THERE!

As you all know DiS is a constantly developing and evolving site. We've changed a lot at our back-end recently (three cheers for Matt) and we're looking at developing the site over the coming months, beginning with a much-overdue face lift and new messageboards.

Anyway, we'd like to know what YOU would like to see more of. What parts of the site are hard to navigate? What's missing from our site? Would you like weekly run-downs? More big news stories? Less London-centric news? More about small bands? Less rock/rawk? Teaser lines for articles? Auto-mated daily/3-times-weekly news emails? If you are in a band, what would be useful? What do you think of our reviews? Do we do enough interviews? Should we focus more on mp3s and resources? WHAT'S THE THING YOU HATE MOST ABOUT THIS SITE? What do you love about this site?

At the moment I'd like to add a lot more opinion/discussion pieces to the site, a more organised free classifieds system, and maybe some regional pages for localized music news and listings. Plus we've got some good idea's how to turn the ratings system into a useful guide to music you'd like (we notice a lot of you have been rating bands, but not a lot of you seem to keep on doing it? What would make that easier? log-in here).

We appreciate your support and opinion, so please be as constructive as possible, either comment below or email us directly feedback@drownedinsound.com. Please remember that Drowned in Sound is completely run by an un-paid dedicated team. We're totally independent and can only do so much with what we've got.

Thank you!
Sean
