The Hush

2 Track Demo

Label:

rubbafish by Colin Weston March 22nd, 2003

Hailing from the musical wilderness known as Colchester, The Hush are out to convert anyone who is willing to listen to them and with a demo as good as this.

This comes across sounding like a version of a slightly less pretentious, less aggressive 'Frogstomp'-era Silverchair. There are winks towards Pearl Jam throughout and there are moments of Ugly Kid Joe minus the humour but that could just be me.

This is musically competent and with a very good vocalist, the band could well spread beyond the local scene but the only question is, even though there is no debating the band's ability, is there still a market for their musical genre? I certainly hope so but only time will tell.
