Jurassic 5

Power In Numbers

Label: Interscope Release Date: 07/10/2002

2601
chrisnettleton by Chris Nettleton October 21st, 2002

Discard your Ali G pantomime clothes, flush away your gangsta tunes, and come and listen to a new message reminiscent of the noize that Public Enemy did bring.... This is the way ahead, but to move forward it needed to embrace the past, get back into bed with black empowerment, get back into bed with politics, and f**k all tha little M&M's off back into the sweetie packet they came from. That shit was never dangerous, just a new way for white-trash kids to piss their parents off. The breaks and loops are fat, funky and awesome, and the rhymes are flying out thick and fast. This is super sharp street smart hip hop for folk that've grown out of the cliché and stereotype and want something more...
