Imprint first came to my attention through Charlene Insight’s Shaken& Disturbed comp & these 4 tracks of melodramatic metal pretty much follow suite. For some reason I thought all these poor UK nu-metal acts had died off but it seems like there’s more than ever now. Imprint just seem like every poor nu-metal band mashed together in one emotional angst-filled pulp.

And that includes the lyrics too. I mean, what the heck does, “f**ked by angels consuming sand ingest paper cuts exam burned in fraud shatter the still an eastern veil falls at my feet” mean? Well? They could have at least ripped off the good nu bands. Look at Linkin Park. They’ve ripped off Papa Roach & their album rocks. Papa Roach have combined the musicianship of Limp Biskit with the amazing melodies of Incubus & look how well that turned out.

Unfortunately Imprint have fused together all the poor ones & have therefore come out with boring, unmemorable songs. Oh well.
