Raised Fist

Watch Your Step

Label: Burning Heart Release Date: 30/11/1999

6613
DiSvsMatt by Mat Hocking October 4th, 2001

Just from the name of these Swedish chappies you kinda get some idea of the kind of aggressive full-on fast-paced hardcore they’re pulling off. And for those unfamiliar with the old school style, Raised Fist are a band who epitomise all the stomping beatdowns, raging riffage & impassioned hollers that hardcore lovers all over the world have come to love, cherish & windmill their guts out to in their local sweat-boxes.

This CD compiles their early releases and is a prime example of hardcore at it’s finest. Those with a more acquired taste will be able to notice shades of Integrity 2000 & Awake in amongst their racket and with bands like Nine and Within Reach supporting them on their upcoming European tour I ‘m sure you can imagine how cool their live shows are gonna be. Not exactly innovative or new but it’s played by the book and played well. So there you go.
